2010
What I love about this time of year is the warm sunny days and it’s not even summer yet.
I hope there will be lots of warm days to come and a lot of you artists go out side and paint.
I also like to take lots and lots of photos. This was taken near my home and my student and I worked on a painting of the subject. I was going to show her work as well but forgot to ask her. Maybe I will get her ok for next week.
Beautiful painting. The deep shadows pull me into the painting and the trees and grasses are painted with great skill.

Thank you, I find the contrast is important.

Once again, I love your balance of texture in our woodsy scenes, Richard. This has a wonderful play of light and I want to be there!

I never quite know what to say other than ‘lovely’ or ‘beautiful’, as this is my first response to all your painting, Richard! Lovely. Beautiful!

Thank you. As long as you respond. I don’t even mind a negative critique.

This is glowing with the natural light, Richard! Love it!

Wow Richard, this piece just radiates. I love the green leaves, I can’t wait to see some more summertime paintings. I’m very jealous that you’re getting such lovely weather lol.
