Abandoned CPR Rail Bridge.  The rail line in this was abandoned a few years back and is now being used for snowmobiles in winter and walking in summer

A lot of small streams were crossed by the CPR railway using very elaborate bridges. This one is just south of Owen Sound.

Have you ever looked at your painting and was not happy with it so started to change little things hear and there? Well it has happened in this painting I felt the original was missing something so I played with a little more colour in the fore ground.  Still may add or change things. Not completely happy with it yet.

This has been a hot dry summer do far.  Temps over 30C or 90F.  No matter how you measure it is bloody hot!  I decided to do a painting that has a cool and wet feeling to it.  I was painting in my studio with no air conditioning  so I think a little sweat is mixed in to it along with water.

One part of the Saugeen River titled River North

I have a vast collection of photos I have taken over the years that I may interested in painting at a later time .  As I was looking through them, I came across this image of an iron bridge.  The area I live in has a number of rivers for example there is a river system which has 5 rivers  flowing into one river which is called the Saugeen. A lot country roads have these  bridges spanning them and a lot of them are now neglected, the roads are impassable as it is unsafe to cross, however there are still a few bridges in good shape and this is one of them.

It’s 30 degrees Celsius today so I thought I would paint a cold winters day.

Don’t get me wrong our warm days up here are few and far between but this is very early for this kind of temperature.

Now off to the golf course.
