This has been an incredible week with great weather so I’ve been out taking lots of pics for paintings. This painting was done  on a sunny day also and I liked the composition.  I wanted to capture the dappled shade on the steps along with the bright sun.

I saw this tree in the bush just full of holes and I thought it would make a great painting. I added the sapsucker  that I got from the internet.  I think it looks like it belonged.

Watercolour  20″x 30″ 140 lb paper This Island is in Georgian Bay and  has these odd  natural flowerpot shaped rock formation. This was painted a couple of years ago.  I have been unable to a nice as a sky as this. I have tried many times, come close but no cigar.
